“The King” takes the stage at the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, IL and we will be there to witness it all! His name still evokes immediate recognition from people all over the world. This official Elvis Presley bio-musical takes a closer look at the rock star and incomparable icon whose impact shaped the history of music and culture. Trapped in a moment of crisis, his younger self guides him through pivotal moments of his life that led him to become “The King of Rock and Roll.” Heartbreak Hotel features over 40 Elvis hits and iconic songs including, “That’s All Right,” “All Shook Up,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Burning Love,” “Good Rockin’ Tonight,” “Hound Dog,” “Love Me Tender,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Are You Lonesome,” and “Blue Suede Shoes.” First we will have lunch at the theatre, when you call to sign up please choose from one of the options, Option #1 Polenta Crusted Chicken with lemon cream. The senior center is going to the Blue Gate Theatre in Shipshewana this summer to see Love Comes Softly, the musical. When newlywed Marty Claridge sets out on a wagon train with her beloved Clem, seeking "The Promise of Home" in the western frontier, she is faced with sudden tragedy and a heart wrenching decision that will determine her very survival in a rugged wilderness. As she struggles with loss and grief, she finds herself surrounded by a community of neighbors who teach her lessons of generosity, kindness, and faith in God.
